Reading a word once is not enough to keep it. These four steps take about five minutes, and the first three are built into every word page.
Teachers: show the word on the board at the start of a lesson, then let the class answer the five questions together. For the morning assembly, use the word of the day for students: a ready script, the spelling and this week’s words.

Come back tomorrow
Each word page asks one question about yesterday’s word. Reviewing after a day, three days and a week keeps a word for good.

Say the word in a sentence about your own day, or write it in a real message. A word you have used yourself is much easier to keep.
